天津医学高等专科学校不是一本也不是二本院校，而是天津市的一所专科学校。天津医学高等专科学校创建于1908年，是天津市唯一的医学类高等专科所大学，学校是全国百所“国家示范”高等职业院校，2019年底“中国特色高水平大学和专业建设计划”高水平目前有护理等19个专业，对象为全国招生，在校生7400多人。近年来，学生就业率一直保持在98%以上，毕业生遍布30个省市，为我国卫生健康事业的发展输送了大批优秀人才。
